Jeff Janke started in the vacuum business by selling Kirby door to door. He quickly became a lead salesman and was offered the chance to become a regional dealer. He and his wife Chris decided to open up a brick and mortar shop in Fergus Falls, Minnesota in 1983. With being from the Detroit Lakes area, they decided that they wanted to move back to the area and made their location at 525 Washington Ave in 1988. A few years later Jeff bought the building at 607 Washington Ave and added sewing machine sales and repairs to the mix. Jeff was located at that location until 2022, when he decided that he needed to downsize due to him needing knee replacement surgery.  He then decided to move back to the 525 Washington Ave location. In January of 2024, Jeff was proud to hand everything his business has built to the second generation of owners: his daughter Amy and son-in-law Justin Gress. Amy and Justin are excited to expand the business and make her dad proud!
